Transferring old pensions to Workplace Scheme

Options
Hi folks

I'm going to be taking up the Workplace Pension scheme as of next Month (May). At the present moment I have a frozen pension scheme with a previous employer and also a private scheme.

My plan is to make the contributions to the Workplace scheme since it'll be matched by my employer. I was also thinking of closing the two existing schemes and transferring the funds from those into the Workplace scheme. Am I better off to do that, or should I keep the existing pensions and just leave them be?

TIA

Impossible to answer on the information you've given. There are too many variables that could apply on either arrangement to be able to say with any certainty what the most appropriate course of action is for you.

What kind of pension was the employer pension (Final Salary/defined benefits/defined contribution...).

    Details of the private pension?
