Has anyone else found good uses for the magic sponge?
I bought a pack of magic sponges in poundland on Saturday.
Golly they really are magic!
The inside of my microwave is sparkling.
They get muck off door handles and light switches and stair rails.
OH was looking very interested and I think he is plotting to pinch one for his motorbike
Looking online, you can get them much cheaper than the £1 for 2 in poundland.

I use a lot of these. Please may I ask you where online you got them from?
I use them for scuff marks on tiles, upvc window sills and before painting.0 -
I have seen them both on ebay and on Amazon uk.
I just sent for a pack of 10 on ebay and I think they were £2.99
Just type in magic sponge and there are many results.
Oh UPVC window sills is a good idea0 -
I get mine in poundland as well, but the packs are a lot smaller than last year. Interestingly though they are actually made from melamine foam which is used in sound proofing.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

That's interesting, I'm currently looking at sound proofing - wonder how many I would need to do a whole wall!!Less stuff, more life, love, laughter and cats!
Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!0 -
Oh! So that's what OH uses to clean marks off painted walls....Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0

On ebay I have seen it in sheets.

Aldi also sell them - cant remember the price sorry but it wouldn't be anything like the JLM one!
Yes they are good - on almost any hard surface - I got dried on marker off my nice light oak dining table with one..........no trouble at all!0 -
Never heard of these - what do they look like?0

I love these - we rent so whenever we move I go round the house with one of these and get rid of every mark possible. I'm sure they've saved me hundreds of pounds.0

They look like little make-up sponges. Very useful... but sometime a bit of white bread can work just as well!If you don't ask, you don't get!0
