Virgin Media

Hi all,
Long time lurker has finally registered!
Anyhow - last week I filed to make myself bankrupt and this was granted, hence I have no cards, bank accounts etc. However, I'm moving to a new flat at the end of this week (none of the costs are being met by myself, I should add) and one problem I've come across is internet. The flat itself has a virgin fibre optic cable running to it but I'm unsure if Virgin would be willing to provide me with a service.
Does anybody know if Virgin would take payment for their internet using a pre-paid debit card, bearing in mind at the moment I'm not an existing customer? I should add that no debt that was written off during my bankruptcy was to Virgin as I've never been one of their customers before.
I hope this is in the right place!
Kind regards to you all,
Pax Romana.

Have you called Virgin to ask? I think that would be the most sensible thing to do.0

I applied to change to Virgin while I was BR and I was accepted straight away on their normal t&c's and didn't pay anything in advance. I just set up a direct debit like anybody would.
Why have you not got a bank account? Did you not set up a BR friendly account in advance?"Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0 -
Ive just moved to Sky TV and i asked them if they performed any kind of credit checks and was told they dont do any, we got onto talking about Virgin Media and was told they dont either.
So with no credit checks and no asking about BR then you shouldnt have a problem.0 -
I don't think it is the case, Although im not BR as of yet I was subject to a credit check via virgin media and my credit is poor at best and I was accepted but I do believe they credit check as I received an email stating so before my service was live.0
