Really who are you with, I need to contact them as mine is over £100 for both.

I also think the mistake has been made that the partner does work as this person has been made redundant, well that is how I read his or her post.

Just a thought do you get working and child tax credits each month? if not should you not be claiming them?

Scottish Power, fixed last year. Tried that EDF blue one and that came in higher too so I think I have been lucky, but that's with a lodger who loves daily baths and single paned drafty windows and floor boards. I have the reflective foil behind the radiators if that makes any difference but always snuggle up under a blanket if I'm sitting still and always close the curtains as soon as it's dark as they really help to keep the heat in.

That Gizmo is what I thought. I take it the other benefit shown is Child Benefit?

Well I'm not sure as CB for 1 child is £80 not £130. - A quick calculation on benefit calculator on income of £16500 shows that TC should be about £73 per week.
Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.
  • I will try to answer all the questions here:

I was made redundant and am not working. My partner work and brings home on average £1050 per month

I will do a comparison for utilities to see if I can get cheaper

The benefits are £80 family allowance, and £50 tax credits is all that I have been granted

I get £46 per week housing benefit and I have netted that against the rent that I show

When did you last give them your earnings for last year - although your income would have been taken in for about half the year.

  • I have just done an entitled to and the tax credit is significantly different. At the moment I have been awarded £46 per week housing benefit and £12,50 tax credits. However entitled to suggests it should be £73 per week tax credits and £30 housing and council tax. I did challenge this at the time with HMRC but the person I spoke to insisted that it had to be based upon my last years earnings.
