Edited to add: Turns out the offer is for a minimum term of 12 months! And that the gifts are only for the first 400 subscribers! I know some people cancel the direct debit after the 1 pound is taken and the mags don't force them to stay on for the year, but the company certainly could make an issue of it.

Hmm, that got me to read the exceedingly small print (I had tried to read it last night without my glasses and forgot that I never did read it). It does say the offer is for a minimum term of 12 months! And that the gifts are only for the first 400 subscribers! So a bit iffy there, especially as the rate after the first three is 9.99 per six issues, when I know you could find a deal of 12 issues for 12 quid somewhere!

I took out a sub with easy living a couple of months ago and they sent me a different gift to the one I was expecting!

I often cancel my subs before the end of the term, because it usually says in the small print that you can cancel the DD at any time
