To all you moc experts -
I still have a couple of those magazine mocs from the DM from a few weeks ago - you know, the Red/Elle/Psychologies ones. I really want to use them, but there is a big headline on them saying valid until July 1st or 2nd I think. However, when you read further down 'to the customer' it says they are valid until 29/7. Has anyone had any luck with still using them?

Hi guys I am pretty new to this so please correct me if I am wrong.

Am I right in thinking that these MOC can be used in stores like TESCO without actually having to buy the actual product - so one actually gets money off their total shop regardless of the products purchased?

I can't get my head around this, why else get so excited about the MOCs as it is unusual that they are for the actual product that one would regularly buy.

    Please could someone clarify?

Yes, I am still using them as the valid until date is end of July in the customer t&cs. In one of the stores I visit, some of the staff also use coupons and they are still using these ones as well due to the expiry date being OK.

The headline must refer to the availability of the magazine I think, it's weird how these types of coupons are often valid for much longer though. Like Marie Claire coupons which are always valid well after the issue stated has been replaced by the next issue.

You are not wrong. :T That's why we get a bit excited about new coupons.

In Waitrose & Asda they will let you use coupons without buying the product as well (but it's down to the store how many they will take). Some Waitrose allow lots, including duplicates & internet prints. Some Asda stores are quite snotty though, and accuse you of photocopying internet prints (or refuse them even if you are buying the product!).

In Tesco some stores will allow any amount of the bill if your coupons are all for different products (one of each if not buying it). That's why some of use collect differerent ones until we have a pile the size of a pack of cards to hand over each time!:rotfl:
