    Hi LittleBill,

Thanks for the info re the price of this sugar. Great minds think alike: thought about using this MOC as well (need some icing sugar at the mo). ;) Went to the local Sainsbury's but couldn't find it (or maybe I didn't search properly? Was in a rush tbh :o). Will keep looking though. I also want to use the MOC for the vanilla sauce thingy. Mmmmmmm

Love this issue of Sainsbury's mag, very generous with coupons and a great read as well. :j

P.S. Off topic now: speaking of vanilla, don't know if this offer is nationwide (hope it is), but my local Julian Graves has vanilla pods on offer 2 for £1.99 and BOGOF, so you get 4 pods for £1.99! A great offer in my opinion :j

    Hi MBN ...

Went to get some more today from our local mini-Sainsbug's ... I had to hunt too ... and I'd bought it there already! ... They've moved the icing sugar in our branch to the baking/dried fruit section ... This may be just our store or a sort of Christmas shuffle thingy ... Try looking for the pink Tate & Lyle normal icing sugar boxes which are easier to spot and they should be next to them ... the Royal Icing ones are purple and they don't leap out at yer!

I looked for the Lurpak garlic butter too ... it's on offer price at 79p less the couponog of 20p ... but they didn't have any ... it is a little pricey still but a handy standby ... The vanilla sauce is £1.79 less the coupon I think ... I was hoping for a half price on that ... but off completely ... they have those sexy Bahlsen Liebniz biccy's at half price at 62p ...

Thanks for the tip on Julian Graves ... there is an offer running for the next 3 days for 20% off too (jimsmum's post) ... I am looking at my pile of JG bags ... I went there a couple of weeks ago and stocked up ... (bum) ... You would think they would know I make my Christmas cakes 1st week in November! ... :rotfl:... Cheap as chips pods though so may nip by and grab some ... they had loads of good 3 for 2's when I was in ... and if you pick up a brochure from the counter first ... it has a money off £10 spend I think ... the 'lady' on the counter only gave me mine after I had spent £30 pounds ... I won't say the word I used for her as I left in case any small children are listening ... ... be sure to sneak one before you get to the till!

'Scuse me for getting all Old Style but I found out that you can make your own vanilla extract ... (the expensive £4/5 a bottle stuff!) ... by soaking a vanilla pod in vodka for 4 to 6 months ... A wonderful tip as I have bought a bottle of Tescon's prison vodka at £6.48 to make some of the Lemon Schnapps from the Delicious mag for Christmas pressies ... and I need to take a bit out to get the lemon peel etc, in ... saves me drinking it ... :o

Sorry for being off off off topic ... ;) ... stopping typing now ...
