FTB - Mortgage advice

Hey guys

Sorry for what will be a very repetitive post - but having come on here to look for a bit of advice, we are now anxious about a number of things...

Situation is this:
Offer accepted on a flat at £205,000. We have a £41,000k deposit which brings us up to the 20% LTV. We have joint incomes of £60k.
Partner is permanent full-time, I am fixed-contract until 2015 and have been working at same company since 2011.

Partner is debt-free, with very high credit score.

I have a good credit score on experian, but have a 2K credit card balance. I am also clearing my overdraft this month - which I have been in and out of since being a student. I also have 4 missed payments on a mobile phone account from about 16 months ago - where I had not set up a direct debit, so payments 1-2 days late. Stupid I know.

We are using a mortgage broker to find us a mortgage.

My question is - should this be a problem? Our broker seemed to think now - but there is a lot of conflicting advice on these forums -some say credit scores don't matter, some say you need reports from all 3. Some say a late payment is the end of the earth, some say it doesn't matter.

Any advice would be appreciated!! thanks

Generally if your broker feels it will no be a problem, I would go with them, these forums are full of "misguided" comments from contributors.

You have a decent deposit, and your income is easily enough, how is this split between you ?

Hello - this is split pretty much equally between us - £28k and £32k.

Thanks for the advice - I did promise myself I wasn't going to get sucked in by all the forum stuff - but seem to have done!!!!
