Gem's Debt Diary

It's Thursday, my favourite day, because the anticipation of Friday is usually more exciting than the actual day itself. I still owe approx £17200. I got back from the OH's gig in Leicester Square at 11.30 last night to find my organic veg box, 2 pints of warmish milk and a bag of potatoes on my mat, and a demanding letter from Viva La Diva. I have a shoe account with them. I took it out when I was manic one day and bought two pairs of designer pumps on it. Then, when I was depressed the next day I spent hours agonizing over what I'd done. It's only about £100 yet I can't afford to pay it off. And they send me more threatening letters than MBNA ever did - who I owe £3000 to.

Another reason I love Thursday is because it's two days away from my favourite DFW day - Sunday. That's right - no post. And the OH has promised me a trip to London Zoo on the next sunny day we get to see the new Gorilla enclosure. (We have half-price tickets - penny watchers!).

Didn't get a chance to buy bread so am going to attempt to feel full on a packet of Wotsits, an apple, a banana and a Go Ahead apple bake today. After 3 hours teaching later this will feel like a mere snack. Must not give into temptation and visit my favourite bakery down the road.

Anyway, that's my first ever diary post. On my favourite day. Bye bye.

    Hiya,

Could you maybe send the shoes back?

I hope the weather is nice for your trip to the zoo. I love going to the zoo, I am such a big kid at heart :D

Just a thought but if you are starting a diary maybe you should do a SOA on here and list all the details of your current debts so when you need motivation in say 6 months time you can easily see just how far you have come.

Good luck clearing your debts :T

    I EARN

    Approx £1050 after tax.

    I PAY

£400 - Rent and Council Tax (to boyfriend)
    £302 - to Payplan

But I've had two car offenses in the last two months, so that's £60 a month coming out of the kitty. :(

The police seem to have let me off the points for the second one, but they've only recorded one offense on my license and have cashed both the cheques. Good news for my license, bad news for my bank balance.

So more poverty beckons for the next 31 days. Lovely.
