Party food

Options
Hi
Can I have ideas please for posh ( but simple;) party food for adults.
We are having a housewarming party with around 60 adults coming. As a surprise we have a mixologist booked to do cocktails. Would also like to do some nice, easy to eat party food. What would you suggest and are there any nice ranges in the supermarkets you'd recommend.

Many thanks!
How much ?????????!!!

The easiest is canapes and stuff on sticks.

    Sticks

Little pieces of melon covered in parma ham
Good quality sausages cut into bite sized pieces.
Chicken grilled on a skewer satay style
Cheese on sticks ( different types not just cheddar)
Mini kebabs - lean mince with spices and coriander cooked on a skewer
Smoked salmon circles ( spread it with cream cheese roll and slice)
    Grilled king prawns.

    Canapes

The easiest way is to buy some of those uncooked baguettes and slice up thinly before toasting and putting topping on.

    Toppings

Bruchetta topping - tomato and garlic
    Olive Tapenade
    Pates ( liver, mushroom, mackeral)
    Cream cheese and caviar
Goats cheese and sweet pepper ( from a jar )
    Hummous

    Good luck

    Part of the Furniture
Bellinis from Sainsbury are fab. U can put anything on top (smoked salmon, pât!, cheese .... And they're a simple mouthful.

Another really nice touch is to make up mini newspaper cones (with grease proof paper inners) and add about 10-15 French fries and some nice fish goujons. Have some tartar sauce and ketchup dips available. These are so easy to make and are fab fun.

    Enjoy

Another really easy but really effective thing to do is parmesan lollypops.
Get (wooden) lolly sticks, lie them on a silicon sheet & then sprinkle grated parmesan cheese & poppy seeds on one end in a lolly-shape and stick in the oven for about 5 mins.
Here's a linky to the recipe I use..
