Which box to tick on p46?

Came off jobseekers on 20/03/13 (and had various other jobs in the 2012-13 tax year.)
New job started on 22/03, first pay date is end of this month.
I've been working from home this past few weeks while they move offices so I'm only just getting around to filling in a p46 and am stuck on whether I need to tick box A or B on the p46 form because of the cross over into the new tax year...
If I'd filled it in straight away I would've obviously ticked box B, but now we're into the new year and I haven't had any income since April 6 2013 (assuming this is what it means), do I actually need to tick box A now?

Tick box A. As you are being paid from month 1 whether you tick A or B the tax you pay will be allmost exactly the same assuming that you earn over the basic tax allowance every month. The only danger is that by filling in the P46 late you might have missed the payroll cut off and if you have you will be taxed on 0T for the first month, but by ticking A you will get back the overpaid tax next month.
Did you not get a P45 from Jobseekers?
Remember your correct tax code may not be the same as emergency tax if you have any taxable benefits from your job or any other adjustments to your tax code.0
