    Do you invoice the company for the work you do, or do you take an income.

    I provide services to a college, and invoice them for the work done, monthly. This then goes to my company, registered.

    To me, the college are correct in treating you as an employee.

    No, I'm not employed by the university - in fact, they made a big deal out of sending me a questionnaire last year to establish whether or not I was employed or self-employed, and the result was that they were satisfied that I meet the requirements for self employment.
