Urgent help needed about token payments

Hi all

Not posted on here for a while - I think I have been trying to bury my head in the sand and forget about how much debt I am in.

Just to update.

I am currently about £30,000 (7 different creditors in total) I had my IVA application refused in January and have since been trying to pay off some of the minimum payments each month out of my disposable income as I don't want to go down the bankruptcy route - not yet anyway as I have a lot of family problems at the moment and don't think I could cope with bankruptcy.

My problem is that the majority of my creditors have either sold my debts onto debt collectors or are threatening to do so unless I pay the amount owed - which is an impossible task with owing as much as I do.

I have bought £120 worth of postal orders and I want to send each one £20 with a letter stating that I am not in a position to pay the full amount but want to pay at least something, unfortunately my head is so messed up at the moment that I have no idea what to write in the letter, or how I explain that this is all I can afford at the moment.

If anyone can offer me any advice on this matter It would be greatly appreciated as I feel like I am going out of my mind and I seriously don't think I can take the stress of it all any more - I'm afraid to answer the door to anyone incase it's debt collectors calling, and I wont even answer my mobile as everytime I do, it's from creditors asking for their money.

I know bankruptcy would be the best solution, but I really do want to try and avoid this at the moment and try to use my disposable income which is currently about £200 to pay off my debts - then in maybe 6 months time, if things haven't improved (I'm expecting a payrise) then I may consider filing for bankruptcy.

Thankyou for reading and listening to my problems
