thanks for the info solarpvman
we have decided at this stage to leave the sola panels as it just wasnt working out financially viable for us at this time,
we are now looking at turbines ... not for just now but for the near future hopefully0 -

Sorry, but I need to point out that, that 'THAT' just isn't the case as you get further from a south orientation.
For a south facing system, pitch will alter the spread of generation, through the year, with steeper roofs being more winter friendly, and shallower roofs being more summer friendly, but total generation won't alter that much.
But ..... for east and west roofs pitch is more important, as having steep panels that favour low sun angles (winter), will be detrimental as they will see less sun as the days shorten and the sun doesn't reach as far east or west.
In the case of Elantan, the difference in generation between her 56/58deg roofs and a default 35deg roof pitch was 2,300kWh's pa v's 2,600kWh's pa, a significant difference of 300kWh's (11.5%).
Same location, but south facing, and annual generation is much tighter with 3,130kWh's @ 57deg pitch and 3,250kWh's @ 35deg pitch, a far less significant difference of 120kWh's (3.69%).
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Martyn i'm sure you are right. I was more making the point (badly) that your roof pitch is fixed but you can get these things which change the pitch of your panel by a degree or so either way---they can't make much difference...0.2%???0
