PAYE coding notice wrong.?

Hi - I have just received my notice of coding for 2013-2014.
I noticed that a deduction of £5268 had been taken of my
personal allowance for Taxable Incapacity benefit.

I have been getting Disability living allowance and Attendance
allowance for the last 12 years,and I only actually noticed today
whilst checking my pension forecast (65 in November)and my benefits,that DLA and Attendance allowance are non taxable.?

Why then do you think are DWP informing the HM REVENUE/CUSTOMS that I am on incapacity benefit,i have just
had my letter to show me my Disability living allowance benefit from the DWP,just like I get every year,so they know exactly what I am getting.
I spoke to a lady today at the HM REVENUE AND CUSTOMS
who said it's an error that is all to familiar.
I am one of those who gets these letters from the relevant authorities glances at them and files them for a couple of years,and then throw's them out.
It's only because financially thing's have become tighter that
going into my affairs in more detail I noticed this error?

What I ask my self is how many more people who are on long
term illness/disability are being assessed as receiving incapacity
benefit,when in fact they are getting DLA.

I will phone Monday the DWP in hopes thing's can be sorted.:cool:

Just wondering how you're getting both DLA and AA?

Sorry not AA the mobility component.

Its the medication.:)
