CSA calculations

How is CSA calculated?
Do they not take into consideration living costs of the non resident parent?
Travel costs of the NRP to travel to and from work to earn an income?
Travel costs of the NRP to travel to pick the child up and drop the child off?
Any costs incurred by the NRP for the child when staying with the NRP eg, clothing, food, toys etc?
Hope someone can answer this.

How many children? If under 4 then the following:
15% of net income for one child, 20% for 2 children and 25% for 3.
There are deductions if the NRP has any children living with him, and also deductions for how many overnight visits the NRP has he children.
Living costs, travelling etc are not taken into consideration. If you can provide more info on your case i can tailor more to your circumstances.0 -
NRP has 1 child
child stays 104 nights per week
net income per week £232.00
NRP pays £60 board & lodging
NRP pays £45 to and from work
NRP pays £20 to pick child up and return child home
NRP pays £6.25 mobile phone costs
NRP pays for any other expenditure for his child when in his care.
eg clothing, toiletries, toys etc.0 -

By my reckoning that would give the NRP a child maintenance assessment of £23.58 a week. The NRP's board/lodging/transport to and from work, travel costs for picking up the child, mobile costs etc still leave them with £75 for any extras.0 -
My x has avoided paying CSA for over two years with arrears of £1800. The CSA have found where he works now and is earning £28,220 a year. I worked out that he will have to pay me £61 a week/£264 a month, how do the CSA work out what percentage of the arrears he will have to pay a month? Not counting my chickens though as he normally quits his job before a deduction of earnings is put in place!!0

£23.58 becomes £24 as it is rounded to the nearest £1, but agree with the other stuff.0 -

The rounding on shared care calculations is before reduction, but I think I'd based it on £220 for some reason, not £232.
The liability would be 15% of £232, £35, then 2/7ths knocked off for shared care, so £25 per week.0 -
