Have a road trip coming up passing several T's... Is it worth looking for 1p chocs do you think or is that yesterday's news?

It's always worth looking - unless you're going past Plym0uth in which they don't have any :(

It is weighing up whether buying a single meal deal plus fillers to get £6 is better than 2 meal deals where you are capped at £10, so could lose £2 if you got 4x puddings, 2 mains and 2 wine.

Does anyone know what would happen if you bought RTC meal deal items (no the pudding obviously!) as we know in Ts that RTC now get scanned as the actual item with a reduced price, but when you do 3 for £10 etc another discount still comes off even though RTC. I ask as I noticed a lot of RTC in that section yesterday when I was shopping but didn't want to reduce my £6 pp.

Also I only noticed yesterday that the PP has a start date the day after it is issued - do Ts adhere to this or can you rinse and repeat on the same day? If not, this would maximise your return as it is £6 less cash spent until you cash out?

    Many thanks

I think it was CoT who mentioned buying 2 meal deals with only 2 of the puddings and I was trying to work out if it makes more sense to buy 3 puddings instead. I know what you mean though as I had only been buying 1 meal deal at a time and was getting a £6 TPP back (but that was when the wine 25% was on) but now I'm thinking about it it makes more sense to me to just grab 1 meal deal and then cheap fillers as it'd be £6 back on an £11 spend (ish)

If you buy RTC items it still charges you the £10 for the meal deal (at least it has done for me), I found out the hard way :(

I rinse and repeat the day after but then again I tend to have a handful of TPPs on the go at any one time :D

Right with thanks to chrisv post number 7111 of last night I just used £15 in nectar points, doubled up to get £20 and £10 voucher for frozen foods. Did my first shop, got it slightly wrong but used the £20 voucher on all frozen £20.71 total and got a brand match back for .................£6.72, not as good as chrisv's £10 but still pleased.... (this was versus Sada btw)

    Now...

gonna do chrisv second shop later hopefully, will use my second £10 voucher plus my £6.72BM and do chrisv's versus Mr T

    First shop was:

Birds Eye XL fish fillet crumb (2) £3.29
    Youngs fishermans pie £2
Youngs gastro basa fish salt and pepper 320g £4.00
Birds Eye BBQ chicken grills £1.99
Youngs chip shop fish bubbly (4) £3.99
    Birds eye chicken burgers £1.45
Kellys clotted cream 1l with raspberry £3.99

Didn't know u could double up nectar ponts?.......

Apologies, this won’t appeal to everyone, but -

I caught a few posts last night about the nectar points double up, convert up to 5000 points(value £25) to coupons worth double the value.

    Sainsbury's Spring Double Value offer - http://www.nectar.com/springdoublevalue/index.rnectar

If you have 3000 points (plus room in the freezer) you could convert 3000 points (value £15) for a £20 and £10 frozen foods voucher, spend £2.61 and end up with a lot of freezer stuff and a £10 BM to use on anything.

For example, first shop use £20 voucher and £1.41 - get a £10 BM.

    Shop v A's £21.41 £11.00

Birds Eye Chicken Chargrills Sticky & Sweet BBQ £1.99 £1.00
    Young's Salmon Crumble £2.00 £1.00
    Young's Breaded Fish Fillets £3.99 £2.00
Birds Eye Chicken Burgers £1.45 £1.00
Kelly's Clotted Cream & Raspberry Real Cornish Ice Cream £3.99 £2.00
Young's Chip Shop Fish Fillets in Bubbly Batter £3.99 £2.00
Young's Gastro Basa Fillets Lightly Dusted with Salt & Black Pepper £4.00 £2.00

    Second shop,use £10 voucher, the £10 BM and £1.21 – get another £10 BM.

    Shop v T's £21.21 £10.42

Birds Eye Crispy Chicken £1.69 £1.00
Birds Eye Fish Fillets in Crispy Batter £3.99 £1.50
Dr. Oetker Ristorante Pollo Pizza £2.80 £1.39
McCain Home Chips Extra Chunky £2.60 £1.30
    Ben & Jerry's Cookie Dough Ice Cream £4.49 £2.24
Birds Eye Hash Brown Waffles £1.65 £1.00
    Wall's Magnum Mini Fruit Meringue £3.99 £1.99
    There's this one too

    hth :D

No cider packs at my T's, only single bottles.

Guess the ciders are just at Extra stores?

    Mine was a superstore.

Mine was just a regular tesco - not an extra or express!
