My Mum - in her 80's has a bladder prolapse and she also gets them from the continence clinic. We just have to ring up and they deliver them as and when required.
I believe it's quite hard to get put on this service though it is available as you say.
unfortunately no good for me - they are huge and far too uncomfortable.

My Mum in law has the same problem...shes 84....gets them delivered every few weeks.

When I did it I spent on bingo and the bar moved along nicely I didn't win though
