    Morning all!

I need bedding plants. can't do bizzi lizzis because we got the blight 2 years ago so need to avoid for 3 years. Tried trailing lobelia last year and they were not that exciting. Any ideas?

They are going in a 3 inch wide bed that forms the double stone wall edge of the patio. Part shade, part sun.

How do you work this out? Do you have bonus point till spits or am i missing something?

£22.50 spend gets 44 points worth 22p (44p in the double up)

I already have over 500 points, so I've having £2.50 taken off my card. I notice I've been ambiguious (unusual for me, but I've probably learned to discard some of my pedantry over the years): I wrote "getting" £2.50 and I've taken it that I've "got" the £2.50 the moment I have spent it. Which, I suppose, is how we should treat these things: it's no good having points locked on a card and not using them: like a bank account, just a figure stored in a computer or on a screen (when logged into Nectar's website for instance) gaining no interest.

From £22.50 with £2.50 off, this would normally give 40 points. You've got me into mentioning the following now (which I was near to mentioning earlier but didn't): if I have a double points coupon (either a till spit from previous shopping or a bonus offer), I use it on the £20+ shop and then get 80 points (only equates to 40p but it all adds up). Last time I had 'double points coupon' and used it and then I'd had a bonus offer on my Nectar account online offering me 50 bonus points on my next shop at Sains. Only after doing that £20 and a bit shop did I choose to activate it! My "next shop", I bought one whoopsied bread at 9 pence - and actually made a profit on that shop! 1 bag re-use (why not?) and 50 points onto my card - 25p! I think these offers expected me to do a full shop next time! Not me though.:rotfl:

Good morning and I just wanted to say thank you to whoever it was that recommended the Mcguigan Bin 736 Shiraz during the last 25% off event. I can't remember who it was, sorry. I bought a bottle and we opened it last night to have with some whoopsied steak. It was very nice indeed, will certainly look out for it again, so whoever it was- thank you for the recommendation! x

I am glad you enjoyed it as it is one of our favourite wines and was an excellent price in the offer.

A house divided against itself cannot stand - I love this proverb, and thanks to my lovely family for making me realise that we can get through most things together ;)

How about geraniums? Most people don't see them as bedding plants but they work fine, you can pick up big numbers nice & cheap from the likes of http://www.jerseyplantsdirect.com/

Reliable & easy, flower all summer long if you keep them dead headed :D

Happiest in full sun but I've got a VERY shady spot where they still do great.
