1. Both mobiles have to have the Viber app installed.
2. Both mobiles have to be connected to the internet via a wireless broadband connection.

BFSB, not sure if anyone has said yet, but I dont believe you must be connected to wireless broadband. I am sure mine works just from my internet data as I have had calls from it in the street. Also, when on holiday, there are usually places like macdonalds where you can get free wireless, handy for catching up and sending pics.
