Hi, good evening (just!) (as I'm starting this at 11.50pm, even if posting a little later - noticed now taken me an hour before I posted it, and system threatening to lose everything I've written!).
Challenge missed I'm afraid, as I'm late on here tonight (and going soon) - looks like already answered as Nouvelle at T 9 pack with 9 free - is this correct, it's an 18 pack (9+9) in T but compares to Sains.' normal 9pk Nouvelle? If so, needs to be bought on in T on a price comp vs S. If it isn't 9+9 but it's a standard ol' 9 pack, it would then be twice as expensive and, from a very quick look around, and it is very quick, would then be just beaten by the Velvet Quilted White 16 on Avs S, although I've no idea whether it's strong or absorbent because I don't read implied stuff into it but it has to be in bold lettering on the front for me to notice!
A 9+9 free Nouvelle, reduced to £3.40 by being vs S - I presume S do not have 9+9 free but merely the 9 - would be half as expensive.
Right, quick update on Morries check - loads of new offers and items to add (will take at least a day till I can do that, and probably two days). Frequent - you wanted the comparable Sanex 50ml roll ons - don't know whether already answered as unable to catch up at present - M have two which are also on MSM for A:
Sanex Dermo Invisible APD Roll On 50ml (says 'Minimises white marks) - M 75p
Sanex Dermo Sensitive APD Roll On 50ml ('Lactoserum') - M 75p.
However, A S/P APD Roll On 50ml - Avs T or M 30p vs 30p. (M's is new, so may return N/A - therefore safer vs T.)
M's also have the same versions of the Sanex women's ap/deo. in 150ml - A £2.00 M 89p (which is better per unit).
For men, the Sanex Dermoinvisible or Dermoactive 150ml are back down to 89p this week in M - these are usually Tvs M.
As mentioned, too much to mention - but a small selection is below:
First, starting off with something healthy, one to buy in M (if you have an M and your store has it), the Savers Pears packs are 90p. What's happened on pears? A's S/P version used to be 650g and therefore the same as M's Savers 650g. T, on the same size - or maybe a much smaller size but MSM had it on its site as comparable - recently went down to 69p, and A followed suit (about 62p net via APG regardless of A's price). Then T rose, perhaps slowly, to 90p. A went up to 90p - and then it's size changed to a "new" size! But don't hold a celebration - the new size is 500g and the same 90p.
This week I've noticed the Savers pear packs, which were 650g, are 90p in M and I've weighed one, and it was 800g. So better buying 800g at 90p from M than 10% off 90p on 500g which you can't even get! This might not be available in all M's, and the weight might vary in different M's, so check the one you go to and if it's around 750g or more, I'd buy them, as the 800g Conferences (which did compare from A) were, months ago, £1 but are lately much more expensive in M - and I would have done 10% off a £1 price on the 800g conferences, so 90p for an 800g Savers pack is the same value. I've been struggling with apples packs at any price I'd be willing to pay, so, at last, some pears at a decent price!
The rest is, hopefully, a lot more brief...
Loose Bananas have gone down to 68p/kg in M (M now matching T's reduction of this week) - so Loose Bananas are now Avs T or M.
Regarding frozen food, someone (probably Frequent) wanted the Linda McCartney 6 Veggie Sausages (vs M's £1.12 - and I can confirm M are still at that price on them), although this week I have Quorn Sausages 336g (8pack) at 91p in M until 19/5/13. £1.89 or 2 for £3.00 in A (better vs M than LM, and so if an M'buy glitch comes back round... far better than LM!!)
I also have Quorn Burgers 300g - £2 A or 2 for £3 (on the same m'buy as the Q Sausages in A) - at 91p each in M.
And, just when you thought I started off healthy (with fruit), afraid there's lots of ice cream and lollies offers in M this week and I am being very tempted by this as I haven't seen prices like this for some time on some of them:
Walls Mini Twisters (8) - £2.00 A (2 for £3) vs 94p M.
Rowntree Fruit Shoot Lollies 6 pk - M £1.17
R White Lollies (3) - £1.00 (this more usual).
Also Mars or Snickers Ice Cream Bars - £2.00 (any 2 for £3.00) vs £1.50 until 19/5. There are more at £1.50 in M, but it seems from MSM, A only have these two.
The Cadbury Crunchie Blasts £2.00 or 2 for £3 in A are on £1.49 in M. They've (M) even put the Walls Solero Exotic with 30% extra sauce on at £1.17. A £2.00 or any 2 for £3 offer. It's the same version in A and M, and my favourite and very tasty!
I've been waiting for over 18 months for the Bird's Eye Arctic Rolls in M to go down from £2. Finally, they have done so - they're now £1 (260g) - but, now, it seems A no longer has them in stock! So it looks like it would still be A's own brand vs T.
However, Bird's Eye Breaded Chicken Dippers - the 24 pack are £1.52 in M!! That's an excellent price per unit. Even better than the £1 price on the 12s (which is itself quite good). So the 24s are a definite one for me to do A vs M - and apparently on till 19/5 in M (so no need to rush, and time to allow more room in the freezer).
This is certainly not exhaustive - there are just lots this week! Including several branded coffees to go on the list at between £1/100g and £2/100g (maximum £2/100g).
As for yet more chocolate, the 4pk multipacks are a complete change this week - those £1 last week in M are up in price, and many of the ones higher priced last week are now £1. Just to try to (fail to) confuse you! I think it's Wispa/Crunchie/Boost/Double decker/Flake/Twirl/Bournville/Picnic this week (not sure if Wispa is avail. in A on MSM), some of the Cadbury Dairy Milk (120g?) are £1 in M too, but £1 on those isn't regarded as good value.
For those doing a comp. from T (vs M), the Rustler Chicken Sandwich, Quarter Pounder and BBQ Rib are £2.00 any 2 for 1 in M - £2.00 each with no offer currently in T - so buy in 2s vs M. (Rustler's Hot Dog also £2.00 bogof in M, but it's £2.00 bogof in T as well.) Back to the chocs, Milka Alpine and Milka Daim Bars appear on MSM to be no longer avail. in A now, and are 46p(?) in M - have I failed to note that down because S/P Choc Bar vs M 30p is better (same weight). Milka £1.40 T vs M at about 46p. Can they really be nearly £1 a bar more expensive??? Yes they can it seems!
The Kipling Viennese Whirls are still 65p M. Returning to the fresh fruit section, the Large Pineapple is back in M - and back at £1 each.
Finally, I don't know if MSM is the same for you, but almost the first savvy buys it shows for me on A are A CBY 4 pack Bagels. Savvy at the A price? Well, no! M has 4 pack fresh bagels - plain and cinnamon & raisin at least - at 70p (due to end 28/4).
With that - brief or not - selection, I'm just going to attempt to delete what's no longer on vs M from my lists - the cucumber is a notable one that's now gone to full prices in M - and then good night!!
