    After being in the same place as you I have come to the conclusion that it is terrible really. We have a combined income of £75 k but I have come to a decision not to rack up debt on credit cards at all. From now on if we want something then we will save for it or take out a structured loan.

    Credit car just encourage you to spend and you never know when your circumstances may change and suddenly the debt will no longer be manageable. But that's just my opinion.
    Current debt: barcc £2986, HSBC cc £2307 now £0 Sant cc£3875 now £0 virgin cc £5492 now £0 tesco cc £1600 next £265 now £151, WFTC £545 now £195
    Consolidation Loan £10000:( now £9000
