I'd like some for cleaning purposes, and looking for the best deal but have literally no idea where to get any!

I buy mine at a local Farm Shop. They do both white and malt vinegar in 5 gallon containers really cheaply.

I use normal vinegar and bought stacks when it was 13p a bottle last year. I think it is 23p for value vinegar now. I could not see any difference and use it instead of fabric conditioner as well.0

you're the second person in as many weeks that has suggested it as a fabric conditioner...Might have to give that a go...how much do you put in with a normal load and in the drum or the drawer?frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

I bought mine from, believe it or not, the fruit & veg stall at the market. They had white vinegar and malt vinegar in 5 litre containers and I got one of each.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

I've been using it instead of softener for about six years now, so much better for the fabrics! I don't find that the drawer gets the build-up of old stuff or gets smelly now, either.
I use about a tablespoon, possibly less, in the drawer where the conditioner would usually go. I get mine from an Asian wholesaler, but have used malt vinegar before without issue. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
