can you have a woman as best man and a woman as an usher?

My intended wants his daughter as best man as he hasn't got any male friends he feels close enough to to ask and also my eldest daughter wants to be the usher? Is all this OK? I'm getting married in a registry office but then going on to a church blessing.

You can have whatever you want: it's your wedding!

I was Best Woman at my friend's registry office wedding. Because it wasnt a church do, and i opted not to wear a frock, we decided that was a more appropriate term than Matron of Honour.

I went to a wedding in january, the groom had his sister (called Jessica) as his best 'man'. We referred to her as the Jess Man :Dwell it was funny at the time lol.

Yep, although our best man is a man, my 'dad' is my old flatmate and she's definitely a she! Do what makes you (and Mr Saturn) happy :-)

You can do whatever you wish! I've been to a least two weddings where there was a best girl instead of a best man! It's your day.

Just thought I would do a post wedding with best woman reply. She was fab. Her speech was amazing which I think is a very good benefit of having a female best man as your so going to get a better speech and they would deffo make sure the groom gets there on time lol.

Heres a pic of what we all looked like
