Work programme advisor query

So I have now been on the work programme since Feb, and seen 3 different adivors. Who have continually kept changing appointments with me, but I have always re-arranged and happily attended. However end of March the last advisor I saw phoned and said he was moving to a new branch but would still like to deal with me over phone/email. So again I happily agreed as he was very good with my job needs.
So I emailed him a week later explaining a couple of short courses I wished to attend and ask about funding, (as we'd discussed this at our final meeting), and he replied saying he was no longer doing that role and the a new lady would be taking over his role at my nearest work programme. And he would ensure she'd be in touch.
So now I have spoken to JC on my last visit explaining this and that I had never had ONE advisor to which she just said they were very disorganised and alot of changes were happing at Pinnacle People. I have also been in contact with pinnacle and no new meeting has still been aranaged with a new advisor.
So my query is will I get in trouble with the JC if I am not seeing an advisor at work programme, even though I am contacting them and they are just not organising any appointments with me??!! The last time I spoke to an advisor was 4th April via email, but last time I saw an advisor in person was end March. I also have found PP to be very lax and laid back with sessions considering they were always cancelling/rearranging appointment with me:cool: Also how often are we meant to be seeing/speaking to these work programme advisors ??

  • Cant help with the specifics of the WP advisors but..

Regarding training courses, contact your local FE College to discuss what courses are available. They will/should have funding available for most courses if you are on JSA or ESA (WRAG). You can then go back to WP provider with some suggestions of what they can refer you to.

Some WP providers have excellent links with local training providers and know what is available, some however, rely on other people to do the leg work.

Hi thanks I have done this last week. They told me they only have funding for Microsoft courses , but the courses I wanted to do did not entitle me to any discount. So was hoping the work programme would fund then as they were only £50 each
