Lloyds TSB & PPI

Hi
I took a loan about 8 years ago with Lloyds TSB whilst self employed, but not limited.

As it was so long ago, I cannot find any paperwork, I stopped paying the loan years ago, but it is with a company called Westcott. Think the balance is about £3k, they are not kicking up, but you never know what is around the corner.

As I've got no paperwork, is there anyway I can find out if I was given PPI.

Money is desperate & I am just trying every avenue.

Thanks
Stephen.

So "x" years ago you owed them £3k and you haven't made any repayments since then, and now you want to know if you can claim missold PPI from them.

    Is that right?

If you did make a claim and it was upheld, it is likely they would use the payment to reduce the balance of your debt.

So, I would lose the £££ signs that are flashing before your eyes.

If they did uphold your complaint there is a clause that states any monies due will be deducted from any outstanding balances. Also, if you put in a claim you are giving your address and acknowledging the debt. The DCA will start hounding you for the remaining balance, PPI refund or no PPI refund!

Actually if the debt was last acknowledged 7 years ago then it would be statue barred. So good news!!!!!

Alas, it would also be statue barred the other way ;)

The OP doesn't state the opening balance of the loan, or exactly when he stopped paying it. Also, if you couldn't pay it why didn't you try to use the PPI on it (if it was actually in place). Presumably years ago you were more likely to have had the loan paperwork than now.
