Help - 2nd income required!

Hi,

A friend of mine is really down at the moment because by the time she has paid out for her bills each month she has virtually nothing left for "spending money" so to speak. She was saying she could do with a 2nd job/income but didnt know what she could do and i must admit i wasnt much help!

Does anyone have any experience of being in the same situation and what type of work would people suggest. I know there's the obvious bar work etc but i think she would probably prefer something she could do from home if possible as she's out all day at work as it is..

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Yep. I had a 2nd job (alongside a f/t job) for a few years. I was working on reception at a healthclub which meant I could work my f/t job and then head there for a few hours of an evening & then at the weekend. It wasnt too taxing - and it really made a dent in my debt.

Also, last year I had a "sat job" working in a local estate agents helping out - just wrote to the ones in my area offering my services and got quite a good response. Not bad money for "helping out".

Bar work may be fun as it will mean your friend is out socialising as well as earning money, and if you pick the right pub/bar you can meet some great people.

Otherwise could she sell anything on ebay? I appreciate that she is looking for something less taxing than bar work, but there isnt an awful lot that will fit in with a f/t job - but it definately makes a difference having a 2nd income (even if you get taxed to high heaven!!)
