If you are accepted - the repayments are dependent on your salary.
Anything under £16k and you will pay nothing but if you have income above this you will have to pay back every month.
(By income I mean salary and pension)0 -
I am 57 and have recently been made redundant. I have a pension from my previous employer. If I applied for a student loan would I have to repay it from my pension when I graduate ?
internet search engines are a students friend.
it would seem that the situation is complicated.
if your income is a pension only or a pension plus a PAYE salary then the pension is disregarded for student repayments calculations
if however you have to self assess then it is included.0 -
Thanks Guys - very helpful.0
