Hi
DD has bought some second hand mirrored plates to use for table centres. They have got melted wax on them from the previous wedding. Can anyone recommend an MSE way to remove this and polish them up?
Thanks

Wax should just scrape off shouldn't it? Mirrored surfaces are just glass with a reflective layer behind them.0

Pour boiling water in a metal bowl and briefly rest the bowl on top of the wax with a thin towel or Muslin cloth in between. Wipe with a soapy sponge and repeat until it's gone. This won't cause any damage unless you rest the bowl on the glass for too long.0

Scrape off the wax, hold under hot running water to get rid of the bits, and then wash carefully by hand in very hot water and dry with a clean tea towel, buffing up the mirror0
