Don't forget the scammers who use random/predictive dialers which means your number does not have to be listed anywhere for them to call it.

I wish people would leave a voicemail, nothing worse than having a missed called from a blocked number

Ha ha I had a missed call on my mobile last night from "No number" and am very curious as to what it was but as it came in at 6:35pm (a time when many nuisance firms think it's fine to disturb kids' tea / bathtime etc GRRR) I'm fairly sure it was just a spam call. I hate not knowing though!!!!

I have a PAYG phone that I only use for competitions. I am pretty good at remembering to tick "no" boxes, but I assume that some of them slip through.

I have three missed calls on that phone. I can see the numbers, and I know I have at least one voicemail, but I am damned if I can work out how to access it!

One of the numbers appears to be a debt collection agency (shrugs - no out of control debts, and no need for a DCA to contact me ) and one seems to be from Dennis Publishing. I am trying not to get my hopes up as it's most likely a sales pitch, but yunno . . . :D !!!

(Does the Telegraph come under Dennis Publishing? I wrote a *cracking* poem for their "Win a £20,000 kitchen" competition, and cannot believe I've not heard from them yet :D)
