Hi - if this is in response to the first preliminary letter, the next stage is the letter before action. After 14 days then you will need to submit a claim via the courts on an N1 form or online with Money Claim.
You will get lots of advice from the Bank Charges board on MSE.

I got our money back from LLoyds just the other day. They did originally reject the claim, but I persisted. Modified one of the letters I found on line to suit my needs. But I do believe that LLoyds won a case in court about the charges. Lets hope this isn't going to be the trend.
