Searching for Wins? Google

Hi All

Bit of a random post but when I search google to see if I have missed any wins (with my fingers crossed! :rotfl:) I just tend to search for my name and then sometimes add 'Winner' or 'Congratulations' followed by name.

I'm just wondering if people search using different words or if it doesn't really make a difference?

  • It does make a difference - I have found missed wins with..

    Winner...my name...county

    Congratulations...my name...county

    Prize...my name...county

and I vary it by putting my town name in too...

Also good to always check you Facebook 'other' messages if you do Fb comps...
:smileyhea Thank you to all that post comps - may the Comping Fairy return your time and generosity doubled!:smileyhea

I just google my name - nothing else - it's fairly uncommon so I'm pretty sure it would find anything if there were a win to report - sadly so far I've never found one!

S'true I've never come across the name 'cagsd' before - in fact I'm not even sure I can pronounce it correctly - so you're lucky to have such a unique name!! ;)

    All the best,

    Gordon.:o

proud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl
  • Ooh putting the county in is a great idea, thanks! I barely google as my name is so very common and makes me realise how unsuccessful I am compared to all the others! There's a soprano, an illustrator, a life coach, a sportswoman, two different TV producers and someone very high up in an airline!

I'm a religious leader in Canada apparently. But most spookily her husband's first name is the same as my husband's first name too!
