Settlement of old debts

I have a bit of money available to try and finally settle some old defaulted debts that I have been paying off for the last few years. The debts are to three different collection agencies for £2238, £2691 and £1720.
All are over 6 years old and only 1 is showing on my credit file due to a missed payment last month. The other two are not showing on my file at all.
I have been working hard to try and improve my credit score and am worried that if I go to these companies asking for a reduced settlement figure, that the 'partially satisfied' debt will appear on my file. Can anyone shed any light for me please?

I would be inclined to pay off the debt that is still n your credit record.
You are on the electoral roll at your current address? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

I need to settle all 3 debts but my concern is that if I agree on a settlement figure for each rather than paying them off in full, that the 2 debts that are currently not showing on my credit file (due to being older than 6 years) will then appear on my file and affect it in a negative way0

If it is 6 years since the default date then the only thing bringing them back is a CCJ. They fall off 6 years from the default date, paid or not
What's the default date on the one still on there:beer:0
