Alternative to Royal Mail for letters abroad

Options
I wasn't sure where to post this - hopefully this is the right place.

I wanted to find an alternative to sending letters to Kenya as Royal Mail have increased their prices yet again...
It cost me £4.50 to send a large envelope (137g) containing printed papers to Kenya and I think this is a rip off!
Does anyone know if there is an alternative to using RM to send letters abroad?

well if it is a "rip off" then you would have already found an alternative?

£4.50 seems cheap. How much do you think it should be?

Before the prices went up in April, it was about £3.00...
