Save the date wording

Options
Hello!

We're getting married next year but due to events going on in the city, hotels are going to be extremely busy on the evening of our wedding. So I'd like to send save the dates out asap so that people can book their hotels (if they want to stay over!).

However, we're only having close family at the actual ceremony and wedding breakfast, so I was wondering if any of you have any ideas about how to word the save the dates we'll be sending to the evening guests?

Thanks :)

I would have them made up to say 'Save The Evening' rather than 'Save The Date'.
I know it can cause confusion and some problems down the line if people think they are being invited to the whole day but end up getting an evening invitation.

  • Thanks moonbabe, I'll do that. We have a couple of guests who we might be inviting to the day but it depends on numbers, otherwise they'll be evening only guests too...what would you suggest for these ones?
