tesco life assurance -1000 cc points & £35 gift card

hiya - pls delete if this is in the wrong forum, just thought peeps here might be interested.
Tesco offering £35 gift card if you take out life insurance by end of June. Although work out £10 more expensive than cavendish, they also have a price promise (in martins article on life assurance) where you get 1000 cc points if you find a cheaper policy.
Has anyone else done this yet??? I've just opened policies for my and hubby as we were looking anyway, but will cancel once points are thru. it does say they reserve right to have the £35 gift card back, so lets wait and see!
