I've set myself money saving challenges before and failed miserably....
After attending my slimming world class tonight and being set a superspeed challenge for the week, I've decided to start this thread to help me keep track and also each week I'll start a different challenge with the aim of saving pennies and getting a healthier and happier me.
Hopefully by limiting the challenge to just 7 days, it will be more than manageable :j
Hope you will join me. :T - just let us know what challenge you have set for yourself and keep in touch to let us know how you are getting on!

Hi Flat eric, Im a SW member as well but doing OK at the moment so that isnt my challange, mine is to do a spending diary for 7 days, as Ive been completely off money tracking just lately and cant get back onto it:( so that is it. I promise I wont buy a new notebook as I must have one somewhere.
Good luck with superspeed week, not sure if I could be that strict with myself, but I bet you feel great at the end of it:) Its (SW) the only sensible normal eating way I know of, I dont even call it a diet I just wish I could eat more bread and butter:rotfl:

I've been meaning to post on here all weekend to update.
As I hit the home straight, (weigh in Tuesday), I can report that I'm getting nervous now. Sunday night is usually when I bemoan all the rubbish I've eaten and promise to myself that I'll be good Monday/Tuesday (prior to weigh in tuesday evening) to try and make up for a synful week. It never works out however and usually Monday/Tuesday are spent giving into temptation/self sabotage and eating even more rubbish. This week its the opposite ! I do need to be good as I really do not want to undo all my hard work!
Sneaky weigh ins on my home scales do indicate a loss :T but it will be the proof in the pudding when I weigh on Tuesday.
Its been an interesting challenge to participate in and one that has been very beneficial as its given me chance to evaluate just what I can do when I put my mind to it.
I think the weekend has been the most difficult and I'm afraid I did cave into temptation yesterday evening when I enjoyed a home made chocolate muffin with some ice cream (not half a tub like I usually do) and a large glass of red wine but I enjoyed it (a lot) and I think it will be the same treat tonight ! but despite (this naughty treat) i'm still proud of what i've achieved because I've gone from having my weekly syns (and more) daily to being very in control of them. and allowing myself a treat hasn't meant I've gone off the rails and eaten lots more.... (my other usual trick).
I'm hopeful for Monday and Tuesday to be good (lots of superfree) and I'm (fingers crossed) the scales will reward me on Tuesday. Then it time to start it all over again on Wednesday. Its unlikely that I will do the challenge for a second week but I will be keeping an eye on those syns!0 -
Update ! I weighed in at class last night and lost 4.5 pounds :j0
