Just moved house. The meters for gas and electric are pre pay which I hate. I called British gas and they will change them for free. But I was declined the credit check. They use experian but I am registered with equifax so i checked with them first and there is nothing showing on this no defaults no missed payments ....nothing and a clear history which I knew there was. Can it be the electoral roll due to me moving? Or would I be best to check with experian ....really annoyed

It would have a big impact. You're still best off checking Experian as sometimes there can be differences between what CRAs report. Check it using your new address and check that your account data is showing there too0
