    Wife is thir teen years in present employment,she pays 11% which employer matches. Probably not a bad pension but the fact that we want to leave early is against her.however I reckon we can live without her income till we think it is required.the fact that I could recycle a sipp for a few years could help

    Starting to realise that I will have to do the decent thing and go see an expert,I suppose a few hundred quid could now could save us a fortune in the big picture,as I said it is good to go to see someone you are paying for and be somewhat aware of what they are advising

    Recycling a lump sum from one person's pension into the pension of another person isn't covered by the lump sum recycling rule. So no problem to do it with the wife in this case.
