    A birthday card for my brother and an anniversary card for my wife (thinking ahead) - £4.58 from Waterstones. I am going to start making my own cards.

    I e-mailed my mom and got all the birthdays and anniversaries of my nearest and dearest in America. I've just set up reminders on my e-mail account so that I can send each of my brothers/parents/aunt/nieces/nephews a card in good time. Part of making decisions to bring family and friends closer.

    I've spent quite a lot today, although most were things which i *needed*:

    * Planner from WhSmith - £7.99
    * Ballet pumps from Asda Living - £6.00, bargain as they're identical to my Topshop ones which i paid £25 for
    * 3 x boyshorts - £6.00
    * Travel - 80p
    * Lunch - £1.65
    * Snacks - 1.05

    Total = £25.74, so the rest of the week should be low spends.
