I fear that terminal bonuses, having gone, will not be back now, because most WP funds are now invested so heavily in bonds. Two thirds of WP funds are already closed to new business, how long will it be before there's nothing left open except maybe the Pru? Hence, best to estimate on basis of the guaranteed bonuses and Sum Assured only IMHO.
    Trying to keep it simple...;)
  • They haven't GONE forever, they have just fizzled out for short term contracts.

Have a look at the actual maturities.

Only the bandit life offices will use this situation to replenish their pot.

Forgot to add that old chestnot again, all contracts sold after April 1988 would never meet policyholder expectations and these would now be the 15 to 17 year term. Having said that I've seen a 16 yeasr Standard Life LCE mature with a small surplus (AND TB) much to my surprise.

Let's look at facts and forget personal assumptions.
