Wedding Invites

Options
Hi all,

Quick question please. I want to include a card with our wedding invites saying we have no guest list but would like vouchers for a particular shop. Do I just include these in the day invites and not in the evening invites?

Thank you!

We included them in the evening invites, too. Since sending ours out, we've received another invitation to an evening and this also includes a gift request.

You've paid for your evening guests to be there, as well. We made it very clear that we don't expect gifts from anyone, day guest or evening guest, but that money towards our honeymoon would really help us.

to be honest I didnt include any details about gifts for either day or evening guests....if they want to buy you something or contribute then they will usually ask what they should do.

I guess you know the guests that you are inviting and the type of people they are...also you'll know the amount you are spending on your day and evening guests and whether you feel they might want to offer a present/voucher etc in exchange for an evening out...

Again when we married it was a fairly small day list 56 in total and everyone did approach us for ideas on presents...but in the evening we had 250 so it would have been impractical to request"gifts"....as it turned out we received very generous tokens from many...but we felt that the inclusion of a particular request with the invitations might have proved to be presumptious

You could always think about a post box or wishing well for your guests to place cards or vouchers in.

we did a little poem in our day invites explaining that we were having a wishing well. we didnt put them in the evening invites though but already we have been asked what we would prefer and weve said vouchers would be appreciated. I hate asking for money and really didnt want to put the poem in about the wishing well but after speaking to friends and family they said it was a good idea as like most newlyweds we do have everything as weve lived together for years and we are going away on honeymoon so anything we receive will help pay for trips out or for home improvements when we get back.
