    maybe try for less, say 5k

    clear your owe debt and wait until it shows as paid off on your credit files and then apply for another loan or maybe just another 0% BT CC

    Great if you get accepted, but it is unlikely you will get such a high balance even if you are accepted.

    The searches are making you look desperate for money, you are already scaring the lenders off

    A joint loan seems just about possible as long as everything on your credit file (both of yours) is rosy and you happen across a lender who has a gap to fill in their lending spreadsheet.

    Take one shot at a joint application, if you are rejected, leave it for at least 6 Months.
