Dinglefoot's Walking Home From Work Diary
Comments
-
Got a lift home from work to my home town this evening, which saved me £3.70. But it doesn't really count as saving money by walking as I didn't really do much walking! Still, I've saved £17.60 on travel costs in the last two weeks...I'm pretty pleased with that

well done dinglefoot

I'm a fair weather walker. I'm sure I could walk or cycle more than I currently do, but up until recently the weather's been so poo I haven't wanted to.
I'd recommend getting some health checks done, though, if you're feeling overly tired and faint. It might not be good for you to do so much exercise if you're short of iron.0 -
Thank you
I know, I have been worried about my iron levels and the extra exercise but I've been eating lots of watercress the last couple of days to try to up my levels and I bought some supplements last week...I just need to remember to start taking them! I think other health checks might be advisable, but I don't think the doctor is keen on the idea of spending more money on me, I've already had two things tested in a blood tets. I suffer with anxiety, although thankfully not as badly as I once did, but I feel as though things may be blamed on that.
I agree about the poo weather though, I started trying to do this the other month, but then it kept snowing and I kinda gave up temporarily
Today I forgot my trainers and by the end of the work day my heels were killing me! Somehow I managed to walk home in them, but could barely walk after I took them off
I found out that male drivers are a lot more likely to stop and let me cross the road if I'm wearing heels though
Today I saved £1.20, so that's £1.20 saved so far this week by walking, but £4.90 saved if you count in the car lift I got yesterday.
So so far overall £14.10 saved by walking, £18.80 saved overall considering yesterday's lift. Not bad
