They're very popular at the moment thanks to the Paul Hollywood TV series, this one looks good value Direct from Morphy Richards. Also, according to the description, you can make cakes and jam in it.

Hi....I think it's worth spending more for a Panasonic....they are the Elite of breadmakers....and I'm sure plenty others will agree....however, saying that I do not know how well this one performs.Never put off until tomorrow what you can avoid doing altogether.:D0

I have to agree i had a few cheaper ones before getting my panasonic and none of them came close. Definatelt go for a panosonic x''Aim for the moon, because if you miss you will still land amongst the stars''0

I happily use my currys model, the one that was reduced since they changed the name on it.
I use it to kneed the bread then shape & bake in an oven, this way I get a nice loaf easily.
Just made the bloomer from PH's series yesterday. 1.5Hrs in the BM, 1 hr to prove after mixing, shaping etc. Then in to the oven.
There is only about 1/3 of it left and I'm the only one eating it at the moment!Registered Linux user #497422 :beer:0 -
Ohhhhhhh these things are dangerous, once the bread is made you eat it, not very good for diets ha ha ha0

Got to agree about Panasonic. Tried several, including Morphy Richards, but all disapointing. Expensive, but worth it for consistently good results.0

Ditto Panasonic, we've had ours about 4 years now, ave encountered bread from cheaper machines and its not a patch on the bread that comes out of our machine0

I'm dead tight and want spend a penny more than i have to. Before i got my breadmaker i was looking at the cheapest Cookworks ones available at the time and thought ..... a breadmaker is a breadmaker. But I've got to thank the people on here for making me splash out on a Panny.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

I bought a Morphy Richards bread maker at a jumble sale.It cost £10 and makes amazing bread.I wanted a Panasonic one but they said the have them for sale once a year.
So dont write off Morphy Richards bread maker as i am impressed with mine.0 -
I've had my Goodmans breadmaker for nearly 10 years and its still going strong. Lately the bread was coming out a little heavy, but I found some info online about the flour being poor quality in the UK due to a poor wheat harvest (all that rain). I now add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice to the liquid, and a little extra yeast and my loaves are now rising beautifully again.0
