Dismissal - litigation advise

Please could someone advice me. I got dismissed from work 6 months back for performance reasons after working for the company for 6 + years. I strongly beleive that my dismissal is tainted with discrimination. However I did not go LT at that time due to financial constraints. I am aware that I have to bring up an action with in 90 days in the LT.
Is there any provision in the law to bring an action for unfair dismissal in LT or any other courts after the 90 day mark, if yes with in what time duration and in which court.

The tribunals do have a discretion to extend time in discrimination cases, but to be honest they very rarely exercise that discretion, except in very exceptional circumstances.
There is a summary of the legal position here
http://www.thompsons.law.co.uk/ltext/l0400003.htmI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Hello,
Your first stop for this should be the Citizens Advice Bureau, they sould put you in touch with the Community Legal Services who will advise whether you can bring a case in a civil court - which has a 6 year time limit.
It is worth checking your home contents insurance if you have it - most come with a free legal service which will also take up cases on your behalf.0
