Schwarzkopf Got2b Play It Straight Straightening Blow Dry Kit £2 Asda

I've been looking at trying one of these types of kits out for a while now (since these 'Brazilian Blow Dry' kits started to get mentioned on here).
I know this isn't the Brazilian Blow Dry kit per se but this seems a good 'trial'. Not tried it before, but worth a shot for £2!
Reviews at Boots are mixed but I suspect the 1 star rating might be at times because it wasn't done properly, does say it dries hair though.
It's also £2.40 at Amazon delivered for anyone who doesn't use Asda.

Be aware that this product contains hydrogen peroxide and may be damaging, particularly on coloured hair. I have seen a couple of reviews for it which do not paint it in a good light.

I tried one of these.... Followed the instructions... I found it a complete faff, takes ages to use - contains hydrogen peroxide which smells foul. And, my hair was frizzy the next morning so needed straightening again - so was a complete waste of time.
Hope you have better results with it.0 -

Thanksand thanks for posting how you got on.
I noticed the hydrogen peroxide in the ingredients, which don't seem to be in the true (expensive) Brazilian kits. Wasn't too worried because there are often all sorts of harsh ingredients in hair dyes.
Pictures from the blog link are a bit scary though...!
Maybe a strand test is in order before attempting the full head. Bit confused by the fact that it has received five star reviews as well at Boots, probably some hair types get on well with this stuff?!0 -
This is only £1 ; http://groceries.asda.com/asda-estore/catalog/sectionpagecontainer.jsp?aisleid=1214921925031&skuId=910000390045&departmentid=1214921923791
Cheapest elsewhere is £2.55 @ Superdrug!0 -
This stuff is hardcore. I used it and it trounced my hair.
It was dry as a bone for a couple of weeks, i spend a fortune on conditioning treatments and eventually it settled down.
It was quite a lot straighter but not worth the hassle.
I'm planning on trying this although it is quite expensive, i think it'll be worth it in the long run

To be honest the Brazilian blow dry ones are far superior especially the ones without any aldehyde at all and you're getting the added benefit of keratin which your hair needs.
I think it's important to have a look at each brand carefully because most brands have some form of aldehyde in the product even if they don't have formaldehyde, and aldehydes give off fumes aswell so I'd rather go with something that is close to natural and less harmful. The brand I use (Kerapremium) uses cysteine instead to bind the keratin to the hair which is a natural amino acid. You also don't have to wait 3 days to wash the hair but can wash the hair the same day (within 15 minutes).
You usually know which treatment is much safer as the less harmful ones you can wash your hair the same day but the others with aldehyde you have to wait 3 days.
If anyone is thinking of getting brazilian blow dry kit, I recommend getting kerapremium Argan oil. I've used both that and their gold one which has gold nano particles but the Argan oil is far better in terms of results. They have a new platinum one which I'll be trying soon. It's supposed to be even better so I guess we'll see. Even if you don't want to get kerapremium, I suggest going with anything where you can wash your hair the same day e.g. Inoar, QOD gold etc.
Sorry a bit of an essay but it's something that I've been looking into a lot.
