If this keeps happening - they will deem your postal service chain not reliable enough and will cancel your subscription with them.
Your not liable for the cost of the DVD
Mark.
A little OT- sorry in advance. Who are the cheapest to rent DVD's from after free trials, etc have ended?"There are no pockets in a shroud..."0 -
Took up the Free Trial Offer from screenselect (4 Dvds within a month) days after finishing on a sore note with Sainsburys Free Trial (Lovefilm)(T&C require all Dvds be returned by the end of the trial! Fought our way out of that!!) - Null problemo.
V. prompt service - nearly as good as Blockbusters who we ran over Christmas - The Sainsburys Dvds had a 'unplayable' rate of about 1in6 tho'"When your ship comes in you'll be at the airport!" The Mother-in-Law0 -
just started with lovefilm and it looks really good the sent me a dvd on saturday i watched and then sent it back on sunday they got the dvd back today and shipping my next dvds to me today wow things look good0

I have tried free trials with Screen Select and Blockbusters and can say i found no fault with the speed and efficiency of each service. But Screen Select did tend to send me more DVDs that were at the top of my list (in order of preference) in comparison to Blockbuster who rarely sent me anything in my Top 5. Bearing in mind that the DVDs in my list weren't brand new DVDs, they were things like series of Men Behaving Badly, etc.0

charlesh wrote:- never received the free DVD despite much email correspondence with screenselect. Their customer services dept have tried to be helpful, but obviously have no link to their despatch dept.
I received mine (hand addressed as if it doesn't happen very often!) after sending two (unanswered) emails to them asking where it was. They have since changed their terms to insist you populate your "wish list" with at least 10 titles before they'll send you a free DVD. I didn't put on any titles because I suspected they would pretend they hadn't received one back at the end of the trial and start to charge me £1 a day for it.
You can take them to the small claims court if you like!Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0 -
yeah.dont trust this screenselect.i got offer offirst month free but got billed 5 days later.DONT TRUST THEMare you thinking what iam thinking :T0

Have tried all three..
Blockbuster was by far the best although screenselect is not bad. Unlike the other poster Blockbuster sent me all my top choices during my free trial and very fast they were to! + the DVD's do not arrive in flimsy cases with an advert that there is a dvd inside so it won't get stolen. Lovefilm = the pits.0 -
if you want 4 weeks free trial with love film please pm me with your e-mail address and i will send you an e-mail 4 weeks instead of 2 weeks free trial with lovefilm0

i'm with screenselect, they went through a period of all the envelopes falling apart in the post but it's been sorted now. as for having dvd's lost in the post it's happened to me twice. both times i had to fill in a form for them to claim the money for the DVD back from royal mail. the second DVD turned up around 14 weeks after i'd posted it back to them but the first one to go missing never turned up. i wasn't held responsible for any of the losses. if a thrid goes missing maybe they'll cancel my membership, but they can't charge me for it.52% tight0
