Starting a pension - options whilst living abroad

Hi,

I'm 32 and living in South Korea. I want to start investing in a pension. I was part of a UK scheme (teachers pension) in which I still have about a years worth of contributions.

I would like some help or suggestions as to what kind of pension I could start to invest in while I'm living in Korea as I plan on eventually returning to the UK, I'm just not sure when that will be.

I'm a complete layman on this topic.

Thanks for any advice you can offer.

You might find it helpful to use edit then advanced to change the topic title to include Korea. That will help those who know the Korean situation to find and answer your question.

The key aspect to pensions is the tax relief, so the local tax rules are important. If there's no local tax benefit then using a pension won't pay.
