Petrol price over the border

I was in Omeath today and purchased petrol at £1.26 per litre... I live close to Newry so it is certainly worth the few miles extra drive to fill up. Newry's best deal is £1.439 according to petrolprices.com. This was the petrol station on the right as you come into Omeath from Newry direction. A couple of other petrol stations are in operation in Omeath but they were all dearer.
*edit to add... you can pay in Sterling and they all had Sterling prices up.

anyone who lives or works near the border always uses the border to their advantage .
Petrol is one of the few things that is cheaper in the South.
I know people who have never crossed the border in their lives ,I find that really strange .
Borders are there to be used ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -

I remember on the rare occassion that we would have went over the boarder as a family when i was wee, once we got through the boarder checks my mum would have wound up the windows and locked all the doors... no idea what / who she thought was going to attack us0 -
don`t know about petrol but the cheapest Diesel i can see yesterday is 140.9 outside Banbridge. No point in going over the border.0

Still cheaper if you happen to be down South at an average €1.55
= 1.35 sterling (roughly)0 -
Not sure if they sell petrol at the station right across from Daveys pub, but they are giving a really good rate, E1.20 per £1,0

Last time I was in Omeath was to beat the Sunday opening hours. (Red Star from Warrenpoint).
No point in me going across the border to fill up. I saw 1.35 per litre the other day and there's always somewhere round here which has a deal on. Tesco for example.
We're not in an advantageous position to make use of cross border fuel prices anyway. Not too far, but far enough for it to be a waste of time.0 -
All ASDAs are doing well at present with diesel prices at 137.7. Notice the difference between petrol and diesel as come way down. Not sure why...0
